Dear Hugh, Recently I have begun to try and find out something about my birth family, but have had very little luck. My father was a David Robert Furness, born around 1945 in New Zealand. He married my mother Helen Farlie Gilmore in 1972, and had been married previously to Winifred Spence. There were two children in his first marriage, and three of us in his second, Myself (Bernadette Mary, 1971) and two boys, ALexander Robert (1973) and Mark David Hohepa (1974). He and my mother divorced in 1974/1975. The three of us from the second marriage were adopted by our step-father in around 1983. I haven't seen a listing for anything directly connected to these, but given the number of Roberts in various places, thought it might be worth a shot. I'm hoping your tree might give me some kind of starting point. THanks, Bernadette |
